That's a really good point too about the print obscuring some of the detail - I hadn't thought of that :)Danielle Krivanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10423009648089810339noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810172271174945297.post-30228221979214189432015-04-25T15:16:24.510-07:002015-04-25T15:16:24.510-07:00It is such a pretty dress. I have had that feeling towards a couple of dresses but strangely when I made them I was in love, wore them all the time. Now if I put them on I can't see what I though was so great, only the problems with them! The fabric is gorgeous and the colour really suits you. It also hangs beautifully. I think the back skirt looks absolutely fine as is. I really don't see that "levelling off" with the shorter length. And you can absolutely pull off a trendier or edgier look. Of course you can!!! Can't wait to see your autumn/winter sewing!!! But you've done a beautiful job, and it looks lovely and fresh and summery on. I think it'd look amazing in solids as a top, maybe contrasting solids to show off the bib detail. But I hear where you're coming from - I want to sew with more prints but as soon as I try, I find myself pining for the simplicity of a solid!Crab and Beehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13392731276180198699noreply@blogger.com
