The trickiest thing was that, unlike most modern patterns, none of the pieces were recognisable, or went together the way I instinctively thought. After a couple of sheepish sessions with the seam ripper I started paying proper attention to the instructions (and keeping pieces clearly labelled...) and it all went swimmingly...lesson learned!Danielle Krivanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10423009648089810339noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810172271174945297.post-67433975550403528462013-04-02T01:25:02.071-07:002013-04-02T01:25:02.071-07:00Thanks so much for your lovely comments; they'...Thanks so much for your lovely comments; they're very much appreciated :) And it's always encouraging to know that you're not the only one to find things challenging!
I nearly didn't "style" it actually - that was my photographer friend's idea. But I had the shoes already, and since I usually spend my life wrestling my hair into submission, I think it just leapt at the opportunity to be free and unrestrained! Maybe I missed my hair decade... ;)Danielle Krivanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10423009648089810339noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810172271174945297.post-40994706116116381312013-04-02T01:18:17.364-07:002013-04-02T01:18:17.364-07:00Thank you so much, that's lovely of you! I always mess up at least one buttonhole (the first one) when I am doing bound buttonholes on any project! And I have been doing them for a little while now! So you are NOT the only one. :)
As I said on the flickr group, I love how you styled it, even if you do term it an approximation. I "approximated" for my photo shoot too. :)

Brigid
The Middle Sister and SingerCBoyerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05790067005466257091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810172271174945297.post-85952940099836836832013-03-28T04:00:37.971-07:002013-03-28T04:00:37.971-07:00Your dress is stunning!
